Richard Brown has enjoyed a long and productive association with New York University, where he began his teaching career in the 1970's. He launched MOVIES 101 through the Adult Education Division, and was selected as part of the faculty to design a curriculum for NYU’s School of the Arts.
Richard has been an expert guest on CNN, on PBS and A&E. He has written and directed numerous award-winning television shows for the A&E Network, Lifetime, AMC and PBS. His critically acclaimed series, Reflections on the Silver Screen, was completed over five years. It features in-depth conversations with 50 screen legends including Gregory Peck, Audrey Hepburn, Gene Kelly, Jimmy Stewart, Katharine Hepburn, Ginger Rogers and 44 other motion picture immortals. Archived in The Library of Congress, Reflections is considered by many the definitive archive on American Film in the 20th Century.
