The Rev. Dr. Otis Moss III has been the pastor of The Historic Tabernacle Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia for six years. He received his BA in Religion and Philosophy from Morehouse College and his Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Ethics and Theology from Yale University. The Rev. Dr. Moss III was awarded the Yale University Magee Fellowship; he is one of the few African Americans to receive this award in the school's history. He received a Ph.D. in Religion and Social Change at the University of Denver/Iliff School of Theology. While in Colorado, Moss focused his ministry on youth and young adults.His writings have appeared in The African American Pulpit Journal, Sojourners magazine, and the Urban Spectrum. Just recently The African American Pulpit Journal recognized Moss III as one of the "20 to watch," ministers that will highly impact the African American Church. Newsweek also praised Rev. Moss as one of "God's foot Soldiers" dedicated to changing the lives of young adults.
